Smells
a rich oily bouquet of roasted apple and pear notes, dried straw, fennel, and gooseberry with a dash of lemon zest.
Tastes
A wonderfully rich, dry palate with excellent concentration and balance, making this wine ultimately drinkable. The oily texture is balanced by an interesting grapefruit pith character, reigning in the richness and further endorsing its drinkability factor. Believe me when I say, one glass is not enough. Great drinking now and over the next 2-3 years with your favourite white protein.
