Description
From legendary winemaker Adi Badenhorst, a Chenin Blanc which has become the hallmark white variety of South Africa. Chenin is naturally high in acid, hence well suited to warmer climates, South Africa's alternative style to NZ Sauvignon Blanc. From old bush vines in the Swartland region North of Cape Town. Made from 28 parcels of different grapes, 17 of which are over 50 years old. From Granite soils in the Paardeberg mountains
Smells
Rich, warm aromas of brioche, kaffir lime, honey, tropical fruits, and hints of beeswax.
Tastes
A dry, white wine that is rich, aromatic, full-bodied with excellent texture and mouth-watering acidity giving freshness and balance. Perfect with any seafood as the acid compliments the richness of the dish. Great drinking now through 2028.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
