Description
Soave is renowned for light, easy drinking white wines, but there are always exceptions, and this is the best exception, ever. Trebbiano di Soave was an almost forgotten variety that Suavia have resurrected to rediscover its true character and authentic nature. Grown in the region of Veneto on black volcanic soils and with the dedication to get it right by the team at Suavia, has resulted in a rich, oily, and complex wine that has no resemblance to the rest.
Smells
aromas of almond kernels, shortbread, ripe peach skins, beeswax, and orange blossom.
Taste: This wine is about concentration and salivating texture, more restrained flavours keep you striving to find descriptives; almonds, rock melon and lemon zest come to mind, but the texture is alluring and compelling. A rich, oily palate that is chiselled by the lemon and grapefruit, zesty long finish. Drinking well over the next 5-6 years. One bottle will not be enough, and I bet it will become you go to wine. Perfect with seafood and even pork belly.
