Description
Amisfield is a name synonymous with iconic Central Otago wine producers and a must visit to their award-winning restaurant, taking out the best Winery restaurant of NZ on several occasions. A family-owned enterprise with 200ha of vineyards, one of the largest single vineyard estates of the region. This classic Pinot Gris has been barrel fermented in old oak by the natural yeast of the vineyard, adding complexity and richness.
Smells
a delicate bouquet of pears, sherbet, honeysuckle, and sandalwood.
Tastes
the palate has a luscious quality with a touch of the grapes natural sugar as the ferment stopped before dryness. Flavours of green melon, brioche, and lemon zest with a clean, minerally finish giving length, and balance to the juicy fruit. Drink now with roasted white meats.
