Description
There are some wines that just make you go "Yummmmm"... this 2022 Greywacke Pinot Gris is charming us with its unctuous, spicy 'Alsatian' style, full-on texture, and fruit concentration. A wine that can be enjoyed in its youth or cellared for 5 to 10 years from vintage, this has all the stuffing and guts to impress you long after 2027.
Smells
Sweet aromas of golden pears, juicy figs, dried apricots, and poached nectarines infused with chamomile flower and hints of lanolin. Combine that with subtle brioche and spicy apple strudel, and honeysuckle, make for an enticing bouquet.
Tastes
Very luscious and decadent in the mouth, with a creamy, spicy mid-palate and serious intensity and drive through the finish. The palate is inviting and lush with flavours of spiced quince, rock melon and lychee, highlighted with a twist of lemon zest. Everything is in balance; it will be stunning drinking between now and 2026+ and the perfect accompaniment to roast chicken with salad and/or roasted vegetables. A heavenly combo…..
