Russian Jack is the everyday Savvy produced by NZ and Martinborough icons... Martinborough Vineyards. Named after a local who helped where he could on local farms and orchards during the early 1900's. He lived to the ripe old age of 90, possibly testament to the benefits of regularly enjoying wine. Martinborough vineyards have several mature vine sites in Martinborough and Marlborough, Russian Jack is classic Sauvignon from its true home, Marlborough. It’s deliberately styled to be approachable as a young wine. Easy drinking, with plenty of vitality and good concentration, throw in some texture and length and “voila” … 3 Golds and 5 Stars are deservedly bestowed. Perfect for a midweek and weekend enjoyment, it sits above normal midweek quality. Enjoy with or without food now and through to 2025.

Crisp, aromas of gooseberries, grapefruit, passionflower, and lemon zest.
Tastes
Showing all the characteristics of classic Marlborough Savvy, clean, refreshing, concentrated with green fruits, citrus and passionfruit. A chalky texture and salivating acid thread draw out the palate length and allow the fruit to finish with refreshing dryness. Perfect drinking with a range of shellfish and crustaceans.
