Description
This classic Marlborough wine, now made by Pete Turner has worked his magic on this standout Sauvignon Blanc from Soho Wine Co. A blend of the Southern Valleys, the Awatere, and the Wairau, it captures everything that's great about the style with incredibly pure fruit and old-fashioned drinkability. Saliva-inducing acidity of a rounded, supporting, and engaging nature flows out of a core of luscious, gently tart fruit, classic hallmarks of upper-end Marlborough Sauvignon known and loved around the world. This Stella is from the top drawer however, with a purity, elegance and clarity not often seen at this price. Crisp and bone dry, it will come into its own with smoked and baked salmon plus lightly spiced seafood and poultry.
Smells
sun-ripened gooseberries, smashed green peas, grapefruit, passionfruit, and a touch of mint.
Tastes
racy and zippy whilst capturing a creamy mid-palate texture creating a sublime combination of fruit weight and a crystalline acid drive. All you want in a Marlborough Savvy and more, stimulating, engaging and the desire for another sip. Perfect over this summer and next.
