The 10 wines Villa Maria are releasing come in tiny volumes – just hundreds of cases for some styles. The grapes are mostly hand-picked, and many are fermented with wild yeasts. Seaspray SV Sauvignon Blanc 2021 from the Awatere Valley speak loud and clear of the terroir of this subregion.
Smells
classic aromas of the Awatere; smashed green peas and mint with fresh fennel, gooseberry, and lemon zest.
Tastes
a clean, fresh, zesty style with elegance and good persistence.
