This premium Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere is made with fruit off pre-phylloxera vines on their original rootstock... a rare thing globally delivering much more characterful, complex, and balanced wines. Hand harvesting of fruit and 16 months in plenty of new French oak barriques speak to the superb quality of this modestly priced high-level premium red.
Smells
Beguiling aromas of plum, bramble, liquorice, dark chocolate, dried herbs and roasted green peppers.
Tastes
Sumptuous, full of dark fruits, creamy from beginning to end and finishing with loads of juiciness. Its mouth-coating tannins embrace layers of forest fruit, dried cherry, and chocolate through to the fine-grained, deliciously fresh finish. Enjoy by itself or with red meat dishes now through 2027. For optimal drinking pleasure, the recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
