Catena Zapata Adrianna vineyard is one of the most prized vineyards in all of Argentina, it is located at almost 1500m high in the Gualtallary sub-district of the Tupungato region. The rocky soil prevents deep root growth and allows for ideal drainage conditions. These are very poor soils where the vines are constantly in conditions of stress. The cool nights allow for very slow ripening, optimal acid retention and low yields. White Stones Chardonnay comes from a select 27 rows within Block 1 of the Adrianna Vineyard. The name refers to the ground beneath the vines which are covered with gravel - oval white stones. White Stones is more restrained and austere than its sister White Bones, and some likened it to showing Meursault-like characters.

a fresh, lifted bouquet with aromas of pear tartan, and green apples with hints of brioche and creamy notes.

the palate is racy, chalky, and mineral with an enriching texture, giving way to a salty, lemon-zest acidity on the finish. The wine builds and builds in the mouth and with each new sip, the presence grows and grows. Given 10 years in the bottle, this will simply knock your socks off, or you could easily mistake it for Meursault.
