An extremely limited production Chardonnay, a collaboration of the New (Paul Pujol of Central Otago’s Prophets Rock) and Old Worlds (Francois Millet of Domaine Comtes Georges de Vogue fame)! The best of Burgundy partnered with the best of NZ, and as we’ve witnessed over previous vintages… results are nothing short of stunning! 2022 was a beautiful vintage in Central Otago and the fruit for this Chardonnay comes from a remarkable small vineyard planted with making Grand Cru level NZ Chardonnay the objective.

Heady aromas of tree-ripened stone fruit, grapefruit, hints of honey and beeswax with vanilla atop lashing of Lewis Road Creamery butter, spread on freshly toasted sourdough… an olfactory seduction!

Power and concentration hit you initially, all supported by a crystalline thread of acidity giving restraint and focus, driving a never-ending finish. The buttered popcorn, lemon zest and Crème Brulée flavours make you melt. This wine has all the elements for ageing in a temperature-controlled cellar, that said, it is extraordinarily delicious as a young Prestige (Grand Cru level) Chardonnay. It will evolve through 2032-2037, but it’s up to you…and how you like to enjoy great Chardonnay.
