Description
Anyone who ever learnt to count to ten in Maori knows that toru means three. Te Whare Ra Toru refers to the three grapes in the blend, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Riesling, and brings the strength of each grape variety together in a delicious co-fermented blend. Fragrant aromatics from Gewurz, opulence and body from Pinot Gris and acidity and line from the Riesling, it's a classic case of the sum of the parts being greater than the whole!
Smells
Beautiful floral aromatics, with suggestions of apple, pear, lychee, rose petal and apricots.
Tastes
Just off dry in style, its rich and succulent but with real finesse and poise, a sturdy spine of acidity keeping all the flamboyant fruit in check. Enjoy it with any number of Asian styles of food, or just enjoy a cool crisp glass on its own with good company.
