Bloom Pinot Gris is crafted by the generational winemaking Rose Family of Wairau River Wines – their impressive Marlborough estate first planted over 40-years ago. Bloom is an export specific wine brand they make for an Australian fine wine Wholesaler… largely sold in Restaurants, some in fine wine retail. With challenging hospitality & retail markets much like ours… they have experienced a cancelled an export parcel of 224 dozen and appointed Fine Wine Delivery to CLEAR it. 5-Stars Sam Kim & 93/100 from our tasting panel (I was on the panel) … with Wairau River’s decades long history of excellent winemaking… it’s going to sell very quickly at our exclusive CLEARANCE price of $13.99. Heading into the spring and summer there is nothing more satisfying than a glass or two of luscious, flavoursome, refreshingly off-dry Pinot Gris to come home to after a hard day’s work. The delightful thing about quality Pinot Gris like this… it’s very versatile with lots of cuisine… a la poultry, pork, seafood, fresh salads too. This Bloom export cancellation means you can drink genuinely premium Pinot Gris at an everyday price. Drinking superbly now, it will do so for 3-5 years. So good for $13.99… I’m picking most customers will get through it quite quickly.
Smells
Enticing aromas of ripe nectarine, subtle peach, fresh pear and baking spices.
Tastes
A rich, textural palate with delicious mix of stonefruit (nectarine prominent) and pear infused with subtle nutmeg & cinnamon spice. There is a lovely gentle tang to its richness and the finish is both lengthy and refreshingly off dry. 100% delicious pre & post dinner and a versatile match with poultry, pork, seafood and fresh salads… a little touch of spice in the cooking would work too.
