Description
Spy Valley have very established and proven vineyards in the Waihopai Valley, and consistently produce wines of excellent varietal typicity, good flavour and concentration, delivering a serious step up in fruit purity. This superb 2020 Pinot Gris was handpicked over 5 passes – a time consuming process that ensures that only the best fruit is used. A combination of old oak and stainless vessels were used adding weight, depth, and structure to the very affordable Gris. Magnificent in its youth but can be enjoyed up to 5 years from vintage
Smells
Nashi pear, apple, baking spices and honey suckle and hints of Seville oranges.
Tastes
Rich, viscous palate with very ripe stone fruits evolving to baking spices, nutty and baked pear flavours with succulent natural acids to engage you into a second glass; enjoy through to 2025 with your favourite roasted white meats or vegetarian dishes.
