Description
100% Syrah, 100% stunning and 100% from a top vintage. The spring of late 2020 was very warm which brought forward the growing season. The summer was mild but with minimal rain days, producing low yields. The result was near-perfect ripening conditions for Syrah. As you pour a glass the colour is striking, a deep crimson colour with an iridescent hue and everything that follows is just as impressive.
Smells
Tremendous aromatic lift, with lavender and sweet cherries rising from the glass.
Tastes
The palate has significant density but a perfect balance that already encourages drinking. Again, so much energy in the 2021 wines but also a concentration due to the low yields. Drinking well now through 2028 and will compliment BBQed meats, and roasts. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
