Guigal stands as the pinnacle producer in Côte Rôtie and a Rhône Valley icon since its inception in 1946 by Etienne Guigal. Joined by his son Marcel in 1961, the duo revolutionized winemaking with their dedication to single vineyard Côte Rôtie wines. Their legendary La Landonne, La Mouline, and La Turque are coveted worldwide for their unparalleled quality. Marcel Guigal's winemaking philosophy mirrors the brilliance of the world's greatest vintners: low yields, organic viticulture, and minimal cellar intervention, emphasizing a profound respect for nature and a passion for wine itself. While renowned for their Northern Rhone wines, Guigal also produces an exceptional Southern Rhone wine under the esteemed Cotes du Rhone appellation. A blend of predominantly Syrah (50%), Grenache (45%), and Mourvedre (5%), this wine reflects Guigal's commitment to complexity and excellence. And the 2020 true to form yet again, is superb.

A compelling nose of black pepper, tobacco, cherry liqueur, and blackcurrant, exuding depth and seriousness.

With lovely freshness and focus, the palate reveals notes of liquorice and cherry, culminating in finely grained tannins and cured meat spices. An ideal companion for roast lamb or red meats, this 2020 vintage shines as one of Guigal's best Cotes du Rhone offerings, showcasing the excellence of the vintage. Enjoy now through 2028 for a truly gratifying wine experience. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
