Description
Guigal stands as the pinnacle producer in Côte Rôtie and a Rhône Valley icon since its inception in 1946 by Etienne Guigal. Joined by his son Marcel in 1961, the duo revolutionised winemaking with their dedication to single vineyard Côte Rôtie Syrah. Their legendary La Landonne, La Mouline, and La Turque Single Vineyard expressions are coveted worldwide for their unparalleled quality. Marcel Guigal's winemaking philosophy mirrors the brilliance of the world's greatest vintners: low yields, organic viticulture, and minimal cellar intervention, emphasising a profound respect for nature and a passion for wine. While renowned for their Northern Rhône wines, Guigal also produces this exceptional Southern Rhône wine under the esteemed Côtes du Rhône appellation. A blend of predominantly Syrah (50%), Grenache (45%), and Mourvèdre (5%), this wine reflects Guigal's commitment to complexity and excellence. True to form yet again, this Triple 5 Star 2020 shines as one of Guigal's best Côtes du Rhône offerings, showcasing the excellence of the vintage.
