SUPERBLY CRAFTED, A TRUE WORK OF ART, FROM A TRUE ARTISAN!

Aptly named, this incredibly well thought out, hand-crafted work of art from Hawke's Bay Maestro Gordon Russell, is packed full of surprises!

Using a rather inspired combination of vineyard sites - one coastal one inland, he is able to combine rich, ripe stone fruit with flinty grapefruit characters and a juicy acidity. A small but perfectly formed vintage gives lower yields of fruit, but with exceptional quality, showing the benefits of vine age from the two sites. Both parcels were harvested separately and wild yeast fermented in French oak barriques followed by Malolactic fermentation and extensive lees aging. The result is a rich and intense wine with an abundance of flavour and astonishing weight and texture.

Crisp, clean, salty and salivating, provides a refreshing edge to this delicious palate of stone fruit and citrus. Superbly integrated oak provides incredible nutty, toasty, creamy characters that are so deftly balanced. It's a nod to Gordon's incredible vision as a winemaker that there is so much going on in this wine, and yet it all has its place, in perfect balance to create a seamless experience.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better Hawke's Bay Chardonnay at its usual $25 Retail. But to find one that's on sale for just $19.99 is quite simply astonishing! There's only a small allocation available to us so grab a case today and enjoy a world-class Chardonnay, made by a maestro winemaker, at an everyday drinking price!
