The Catena family have been doing it for over 100 years, building the company up to sit among Argentina's most prestigious producers. The wines are always characterful and of excellent value, utilising their high-altitude vineyards and the pure snowmelt water source to great effect. This Alamos Malbec is a rich and full style, great with BBQed meats or a cheeky BYO.
Smells
Showing plenty of extraction, yet with abundant juicy fruit aromas of blackberry, blueberry, green acorns, and sweet/spicy oak.
Tastes
Bold flavours of blackberry, plum, smoky oak, and liquorice, with a hint of raspberry, coffee, and mocha on the full-flavoured finish, with a just a lick of oak. Great drinking now, generous, and round.
