Description
From the highest quality, central part of the Chianti DOCG, Chianti Classico, Tenuta Sant'Alfonso shows positive proof of the Sangiovese grape's ability to beautifully express its place, and soils. The clay, rich soils of the Sant'Alfonso estate produce greater concentration of ripe, fine tannins, and aromatics. Its rich & concentrated fruit is perfectly reined in by a year in oak barrels... and in concert with its superb balance of tannin/acid/oak it has become a delicious... serious expression of a single vineyard Sangiovese. Totally enjoyable now and will be at its peak circa 2028.
