This small-batch Grenache/Shiraz blend, with only 1160 bottles produced, sources its fruit from the renowned McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley. The Distant Light symbolizes hope and comfort, like the faint lights of a harbour guiding fishermen home, the glow of a wood fire after a winter walk, or the dazzling ocean after a long drive. It’s the streak of light on the horizon from a hilltop vineyard, ushering in a new dawn.
Smells
An intoxicating, ethereal nose of sweet, spicy black cherry, cassis and balsam.
Tastes
The palate unravels its silky, textural beauty over the palate. Draped with wild strawberry, north African spice, autumnal wood smoke and hints of smoky, grilled meats, it displays an elegant persistence. Drinking well now and will cellar 8-10 years in a temperature-controlled cellar. For optimal drinking pleasure, the recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
