Smells
ripe cherries, raspberry, and vanilla on the aroma with exotic spice and mellow oak.
Tastes
A deep, inky purple shiraz with flavours of ripe plums, blackberry, bramble, dark chocolate, coffee, toast, and hints of peppercorns. A weighty wine with a dense core of fruit with fine grain tannins, a wine that exhibits the savoury complexity and more linear palate structure inherent to the McLaren. A tightly woven wine throughout, yet rich, unctuous and balanced. A wine that will age gracefully 6-8years+ in a temperature-controlled cellar. Serve with roasted red meats.
