Description
Northland is emerging as a new wine region of New Zealand that we need to take note of, and the Landing is the winery to watch! Assisted by the venerable Warren Gibson of Bilancia and Trinity Hill, the Landing team have crafted the finest Boathouse Chardonnay we've tasted to date, and we're keen to take a ride.
Smells
An enticing bouquet of Comte on crackers and stone fruit with hints of wheat biscuits and a saline freshness.
Tastes
A wonderfully weighted Chardonnay with charm and the creamy mid-palate texture is seductive. Stone fruit flavours full out the palate giving way to subtle spice and a saline tinged finish that invigorates and heightens the senses. Charming all the way, it will delight many. Superb drinking now and over the next year or two. Serve with delicate seafood. Recommended serving temperature is 11-13 degrees.
