Description

The Piave DOC takes its name from the river that flows northwest to southeast through eastern Veneto, and the regions shares its name with the area's most famous cheese (also protected under EU law). The wine comes from the town of San Polo di Piave and is made in a fresh, crisp style from the Incrocio Manzoni grape. Another excellent dry white from John Kirwan's eclectic and excellent portfolio, it goes beautifully with egg-based pasta dishes and Frutti di mare.

Smells

A gently waxy and lemon-scented bouquet, with stone and tropical fruits.

Tastes

Dry, fresh and velvety on the palate, this is an exciting and inviting Italian white that is easy to fall in love with. Enjoy with chicken carbonara (no cream, the Italian way) or fresh linguini.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
