Description
Molinico Loco is the affectionate name of the windmill situated in the ancient vineyards of Yecla, South-East Spain. Perfect country (terroir) for growing and ripening Monastrell (Mourvedre in French, Mataro in Australia), with over 3000 hours of sunshine every year. It is a delicious blend of 85% Monastrell and 15% Syrah, handpicked and made in a fruity, modern style with lovely freshness.
Smells
Ripe aromas of baked dark fruits, dark chocolate, prunes and dark spices leap from the glass.
Tastes
This variety is all about rustic flavours and robust tannins, being brought together in a modern manner and style. The flavours still have a rustic cured meat and savoury thread but baked and stewed dark fruits hero the palate. The tannins are firm but in balance to the plush fruit. Great for those who love full bodied and fruity wines. The ideal BBQ wine where large cuts of meat are on the menu… alternately it would go down a treat with a tasty roast vegetable dish. Drink regularly through the next 2-3 years.
