Description
Rocca delle Macie has a massive reputation in Italy and around the world, being named among the top 100 wineries in Italy by Wine Spectator. Tuscan Sangiovese is, without doubt, their strong suit, particularly Chianti and Chianti Classico. This Confini is a great example of the easy-drinking, food-friendly charm of Chianti, and is helpfully packaged under screwcap for extra convenience and freshness.
Smells
Lots of red and black fruit, warm, dusty earth, tapenade, and wild herbs.
Tastes
Plenty of liquorice and cherry fruit with the classic Chianti rustic feel, freshened by clean acid and a long, lip-smacking finish. Best served at 16 to 18 degrees Celsius, it will be magic with pasta puttanesca and a liberal dusting of Parmigiano Reggiano. Enjoy young.
