Description

This is a blend of 60% Garnacha and 40% Cabernet. Gran Reserva means the crop levels were lower, and are wines of great vintages that have been painstakingly aged for a total of sixty months with at least two years in oak barrels and two years in the bottle. That is a whole lot of love and ageing for a very modest price tag… You have nothing to lose.

Smells

Intense berry fruit compote, cranberries, raspberries and spice with an alluring baked red earth influence.

Tastes

Rosehip, juicy red berry fruits with baking spice flavours flood the tastebuds. The palate is long and linear with chewy, structural tannins, and somewhat Pinot-esque, and this wine certainly has the same silky, succulent, and seductive power as Pinot. The finish leaves a lingering aftertaste of black salted liquorice with toasty oak nuances. Drinking beautifully now, serve with soup, stews or Jamon ham.
