Description
Masi pioneered this new style of winemaking in 1964, producing a 'Super Venetian' with double fermentation based on the traditional Amarone style. Combining simplicity and grace with power and majesty, the nose is filled with intensely perfumed cherry fruit, blackcurrant, and heather, with a soft lavender hint and exotic earthy spices. The palate shows concentrated cassis, dried herbs, and an astounding richness. A wine that will age, but one that is drinking superbly right now.

Charmingly expressive on the nose it shows dried herbs, blueberry, leather, cinnamon, ripe cherry, and vanilla.
Tastes
A rich and brooding wine, this is something that invites time and contemplation. Savoury in style and with a healthy acidity, this wine truly comes to life when matched with the salty, cured foods of the Mediterranean. Its soft, velvety tannins make it extremely approachable and leads to a lengthy finish. It’s easy to see why Masi are known as masters of this style! The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
