Description
Owing its name to large patch of raspberry plants, Faiveley have owned La Framboisiere (Monopole means they own the entire vineyard) since 1933. The 27 acre vineyard is located in the heart of Mercurey’s 1er Crus, to the northeast of the village. Vines date back as far as 1949 and are planted in soils of clay and limestone.
Smells
Aromatic and intense, raspberries (of course), strawberries with a hint of vanilla and spices.
Tastes
Crunchy red berries combine with velvety tannins and exceptional length. An absolute please to drink. Enjoy with terrine or pate.
