This is a very special Fromm wine, note this is the second release of Cuvee ‘H’ a wine named after and produced in respect of winemaking legend Hatsch Kalberer. He’s made every wine at Fromm since their first vintage in 1992 – Cuvee H is a blend of Single Vineyard Pinot Noir parcels and proves that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Bob Campbell MW says “pure Pinot Noir with dark cherry, blackcurrant, violet and subtle herbal flavours ... An impressive wine with a Fromm signature”. Cuvée “H” is very much built with longevity in mind, but if you can’t resist temptation then an hour or two in the decanter will do this wine wonders.

dense and concentrated with bold notes of blueberry pie, Kirsch, shortbread and very pleasant warming vanilla notes.

Silky, yet powerful and mouth filling, savoury, earthy notes are off-set by brooding black fruits, wonderfully integrated oak all of which are balanced by great acidity and tannin structure. A flagship Pinot built for longevity 10+ years in the cellar will see this wine really beginning to shine. Seared duck breast with a berry sauce and a glass of Cuvee H and you will feel like all your Christmases have come at once.
