Your invitation to review this bargain purchase threw me into a bit of a panic, having put it right at the back of the wine cellar (an inflationary term for the cupboard under the stairs) because it was 2020 vintage. I have only just started drinking a previous 2016 Martinborough Incognito Pinot noir bought from you several years ago. Comparing them was educational. The 2016 has a full aroma, a smooth palate, beautiful taste. The 2020 is younger and ‘tighter’. The nose and dark berry fruits less obvious, altogether more structured, but there is a deep power lurking. It is rather like comparing a flower (2016) with a gorgeous bud (2020), which will blossom and outshine the flower. It is good drinking now, but in another couple of years should be exceptional, a truly great bargain. I can hardly wait.

Lovely cherry fruit nose, fine tannins and a nice long finish. Great value for money

7th August 2022 | Gavin M

Should age well in a couple of years.

7th August 2022 | Trevor Smith

I have paid well over double this price for wines I did not enjoy as much. It's a steal at this cost and brings with it a suitably guilty pleasure.

7th August 2022 | Stewart Andrews

Something very different!

7th August 2022 | kevin

Lovely aroma on the nose.Slightly dry at first in the mouth but the flavours soon come through and there is a great clean fruity after taste that lingers wanting you to have another mouth full.

6th August 2022 | David Anderson

Very good value. Strong and sweeter flavours which I like

6th August 2022 | Richard McLean

6th August 2022 | Murray bray

Enjoyable but lacking in length.

6th August 2022 | Hamish Howie

Outstanding Central Otago for less than $20...cant beat this for taste or value!

6th August 2022 | brent colbert

I found this wine to be quite delightful and at $19.99 a bottle it compares very very well with much more expensive pinot noirs. I consider it a really delightful wine.

6th August 2022 | Barry Cato

Elegant and very moorish! A beautiful pinot, well structured and a delight to drink.

6th August 2022 | Carl Brebner

I've now had two bottles and each confirmed the quality of this wine. Rich and eminently drinkable.

6th August 2022 | Patricia Thomas

Pleasant drop

6th August 2022 | Monique Nielsen

A beautiful Pinot Noir! Delicious with food, some dark chocolate, or on its own :)

5th August 2022 | Hannah

Fantastic quality and a sharp price, greatly enjoyed

5th August 2022 | Don

Beautiful & fuller flavoured pinot noir... delicious ! Awesome deal

5th August 2022 | Aggie

As a family we have been drinking wine every evening for over 30 years. Pinot Noir is by far our wine of choice and Incognito is right up there with with the very best. It certainly warrants all 95 points for gold and after two cases we will be back for more.

5th August 2022 | charlie Shailer

A smooth drinking wine at a great price.

5th August 2022 | Shaun Stanbridge

Vanilla oak jumps out of the glass, mingled with red cherries and a whiff of undergrowth. The palate is wonderfully smooth and quite linear, echoing the cherry on the nose, with a faint tomato leaf complexity. Soft and slippery finish with hints of spice. Very satisfying.

5th August 2022 | Simon Dunlop

Offers everything a great Pinot Noir wine should. Medium bodied and smooth with abundant aroma and great tastes of berries flowers and herbs. Delicious drop !

5th August 2022 | Lindsay Brook

An easy drinking Central Otago Pinot. Would recommend

5th August 2022 | Kaye Robinson

Lovely drop

5th August 2022 | Wendy Benge

The quality is evident, it's good now but will be great in a year or two.

5th August 2022 | I A Bailey

A Pinot Noir which has intense flavours and rated above others I have in stock. Reflects South Island quality, presume Central Otago. Had to take a bottle to friends for dinner and they were highly impressed.

5th August 2022 | Philip Willcox

Very good value- highly recommended thanks

5th August 2022 | Steve Jones

An easy drinking Pinot Noir, with enough complexity to make it perfect for fireside evenings.

5th August 2022 | Lisa Divett

My 2 sons and family came for dinner and I served this wine - they all commented on how great it was - most unusual for them. They couldn't believe it was at the price I paid. thankyou

5th August 2022 | Christine Rupp

Loving this wine, beautiful Pinot with lots of character.

5th August 2022 | Frances McLean

Fantastic drinking for a $20 Otago Pinot. Better drinking than the $20 supermarket pinot's, so worth a fair few bottles

5th August 2022 | Andrew

A lighter wine than I expected. Certainly not worth $40 but reasonable at $20.

5th August 2022 | Keith Mackenzie

What a magnificent surprise arrived in the form of the South Island 2020 Pinot Noir. Beautiful to enjoy and share with friends.

5th August 2022 | Michael Martin

Really enjoyed my first bottle last Friday and will opening another tonight as it hit the right notes for me ??

5th August 2022 | Cheryl Pitout

Outstanding Pinot Noir for the money. Highly recommend

5th August 2022 | Ben Knight

Wow... this wine is a beauty! I have a cellar with around 20 dozen Pinot Noirs, and decided to try this one and it is up there with the best. Clearly this is an exceptional wine and only 2 years old!! I'm after more!

5th August 2022 | Chris Ellis

Deep ruby-red with purple hues. This wine has an elegant bouquet, black cherries and raspberries with dark herbs. Medium bodied with black pepper, thyme and earth. Smooth with velvety tannins and a long, structured finish. This is an elegant but bold Pinot Noir that is sure to impress - bought a dozen and thinking of buying more.
