Densely planted at 10,000 vines per hectare to extract maximum goodness from the limestone terroir and devigor the Pinot Noir vines, Aged in barrels for 12-15 months, with a small percentage of new oak, the Drouhin Givry in 2012 shows well the tannic structure that often characterises the wines from this appellation.

A touch of clove before red cherry, red currant, five spice and an earthy character.

Spicy and slightly peppery, with fine but firm tannins, the currant and cherry flavours continue through with the tannins providing good mouthfeel. Excellent with terrine or pate. Enjoy now, but will develop nicely through to 2024.
