Description
Sourced from the Tucks vineyard in Bakers Gully, McLaren, mature Shiraz vines grow in ironstone pebbly clay loam, over ancient Kurrajong Formation geology, a silica cemented conglomerate most suited to the grape. This wine was handcrafted and matured in French oak for 18 months before bottling without fining or filtration to preserve the essence of the vineyard.
Smells
Blackcurrants, concentrated blackberries, milk chocolate covered currants and spice.
Tastes
Smooth dark chocolate, black forest berries and cinnamon spice. Weighty and mouth filling with a velvety texture, beautifully concentrated and very smooth and moreish. Enjoy with hearty food with the presence to stand up to this Lioness between now and 2027.
