Staggering CLEARANCE $60.00 Prestige Hawke's Bay Syrah...

Icon Hawke's Bay winery Cashing Up Growing Surplus stocks under our Legendary “Incognito” label at a mind blowing $24.99 bottle - You’d pay $720.00 at Cellar Door for 12-bottles wearing its normal label. Disguised “Incognito” 12-bottles of this beautiful, classy Syrah cost a fraction of that at $299.88.

Depressed fine wine markets plus the hospitality slowdown have forced many wineries to cash up growing surpluses offering compelling price reductions on flagship wines. With 2016 their current release and 3 vintages resting in their cellars… cash is premium. Importantly this icon winery is absolutely strapped for room.

Handpicked old vine fruit, basket pressed, traditionally hand plunged daily during and post fermentation, followed by extended maturation in fine French barriques - it’s got a Prestige Level Winemaking stamp all over it. All the hallmarks of the variety, region, and superb vintage. The gorgeous white and roasted red pepper aromas, making you draw comparisons to classy Syrah from the Northern Rhone.

Our 95/100 Tasting Panel Review…
A potpourri of mulberry, cranberry and blackberry with an enticing thread of roasted red and green peppers plus classic HB white pepper aromas. A vibrant and streamlined palate with a dense core of fruit running the full length drenching your tastebuds… repeatedly drawing you back for another sip. The herbal intrigue of the bouquet re-emerges on the palate, again reminiscent of Northern Rhone Syrah with roasted pepper and pink peppercorn flavours spicing up the luscious finish. A vibrant, energetic wine with stylish tannins drinking well now through 2030+ … it will excite even more if partnered with roasted red meats.

At $24.99 it’s a STAGGERING Syrah bargain, a rare opportunity to drink expensively made Prestige Red from the top-shelf… that most drinkers would have to walk past at its normal $60.00 bottle.

It has impressive aging potential – but is beautiful now too. Enjoy, Jeff
