Description
The Killerman's Run Shiraz form Kilikanoon is made from premium parcels of fruit selected from right across the Clare Valley. Traditional winemaking techniques are used including pumping over by hand, basket pressing and fermenting all parcels separately prior to the final assemblage. This is classic Clare Valley Shiraz from an excellent vintage, characterised by a wet winter and spring and cooler harvest conditions, enabling all parcels of fruit to be picked at the optimum time. The 2020 is very enjoyable now but can be cellared beyond 10 years.
Smells
Lifted notes of dark cherries, black liquorice and subtle mint chocolate
Tastes
Pouring dark purple in colour, the wine is richly textured carrying dark cherries, blackberry, milk chocolate and subtle mocha. French oak adds nice baking spices and charry notes. Perfect with cured meats and/or your favourite roasted red meats.
