Created to celebrate the lineage of Denis and Tricia Horgan's family, of which there are now three generations working for the family-produced Leeuwin Estate, the Siblings Shiraz is a wonderful entry point for those who wish to experience a taste of what one of Australia's top producers can do. Often blended with just a dash of Malbec (less than 5%), this is a well concentrated Shiraz with layers of dark fruits and baking spices. A beautifully balanced Shiraz that is slightly more restrained than what Australia usually offers, coming in at 13.5%, a gentle reminder of the cooler climate that the Margaret River offers.

Loads of blackberries and raspberries, with a distinct kitchen allspice character to it. Touches of cinnamon and cardamom, with some plumminess and vanilla toastiness coming in at the end.

The blackberries and raspberries continue through to the palate, with touches of mulberry and chocolate also emerging over a rich creamy texture. The wine is medium-bodied, and the tannins are perfectly integrated which leads through to a spectacularly long finish. Certainly, a delicious wine now would also improve with 5-6 years in the cellar too. A perfect complement to your favourite roasted red meats.
