Made from 100% Gimblett Gravels fruit in what is considered an especially good sub region for Syrah, Mission Estate Reserve Syrah 2022 is a great wine that spent a full 12 months in French Oak barrels. Fragrant and spicy, with an elegant dryness about it, this is Hawkes Bay Syrah as it should be.
Smells
Exotic spices, with violet florals, black pepper, cured meat, blackberry and plum.
Tastes
Full flavoured and fresh, with juicy dark fruit, savoury notes and a fine tannic structure, this is textbook Syrah from a solid year. Enjoy in its youth or cellar through 2026 with your favourite BBQ’ed meats
