The Masters wines are named in honour of a person or event that has played an intrinsic role in the Peter Lehmann story and released with bottle age to capture the wines’ full potential. ‘Eight Songs for a Mad King’ was one of Peter Lehmann’s favourite performances, inspiring him to create Eight Songs Shiraz, for a soft and stylish wine, yet powerful and showing true class and heritage.
Smells
a perfumed delight showing dark berry fruits, raspberries, mulberries, and blackberries interwoven with milk and dark chocolate with lifted cherries and plums. The descriptions are endless really.
Tastes
plush fruit caresses the senses, soft and velvety tannins complement the package. It feels like being wrapped in a warm blanket and hugged tightly, pure enjoyment. Deep, dark brooding flavours of dark plums, chocolate, cedar, coffee grinds and baking spices linger, perfectly complimenting the rich, luscious style. This is a pure comfort wine, delicious on all levels. Drinking well now, as it is impossible to resist, but will age 5-8 years. An ideal complement to roasted red meats or hard cheese. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
