Stonewell Shiraz 2013 is sourced from multiple old vine vineyards in the Barossa, the oldest planted in 1885 and the fruit is cropped at a miserly 1.5 tonnes per acre to deliver incredible concentration of flavour. It is aged in expensive French oak barriques for 15-months ensuring a beautiful balance between fruit and oak. The 2013 vintage has yielded a Stonewell with considerable depth of colour and fruit with ideal tannin/acid to make it one of the great cellar performers.

Deeply concentrated and brooding nose of liquorice, blackberry, cedar, warm earth, iron ore and exotic spices.

Dense and lavishly concentrated with a dark core of sweet black fruit, fresh liquorice and chalky tannins. A balancing freshness keeps the peace against the riotous fruit, the finish long and nutty with hints of espresso coffee. A great Stonewell from one of the greatest years the Barossa has seen - enjoy between now and 2035.
