It’s Shiraz sometimes flies under the radar but is no less impressive… clearly Australian it also has the spicy, savoury attributes of a Northern Rhone Syrah. Xanadu estate is one of Margaret River’s earliest Pioneers and although their wines are infinitely more accessibly priced than the regions pricey elite… Located on the coast, the cooling night-time sea breezes perfectly contrast the very warm days. Xanadu passionately produce incredible quality across their whole range, but as aforementioned…they do so minus the regions often expensive price tags. Despite its accessible price, Circa 77 is expensively crafted Shiraz… they don’t cut any corners. It tastes of all the things we love about Margaret River... perfectly ripe, spicy, mouth filling Shiraz without being exuberantly jammy. Bound by fine grained tannins within a creamy texture, it’s total harmony on the luscious finish. Enjoy now through 2027-2029.
