Nicolás Catena Zapata dared to plant vines where no one thought they would ripen. His high-altitude wine revolution culminated in the discovery of a new terroir for wine, the Adrianna Vineyard, at almost 5,000 feet elevation. Fortuna Terrace is one of the very specific selections of Malbec from the Adrianna Vineyard, Parcel 6 to be precise, coming from five hectares planted in the mid-1990s in Gualtallary, in the north of the Uco Valley. The vineyard is planted on a deep, sandy loam that has a layer of limestone down deep, where the roots reach, giving a classic chalky texture to the wine.

A heady perfume of blackberries, rose petals, rosehip, and hints of black tea.

The palate is nothing less than seamless. Full-bodied with a fine, grainy texture that ignites, excites, and engages all of the taste buds right through to the long and persistent finish. A sensational wine, made using 60% whole cluster fermentation with the concentration and power to last 15-20 years+ in a temperature-controlled cellar.
