Description
Described by Masi as "a special cru version of their gentle giant, Costasera", the Riserva also uses Masi's famous Appassimento technique to dry and concentrate the Corvina, Rondinello and Molinara (and Oseleta). Longer aging for a minimum of 3 years in oak casks of the highest quality finishes off this majestic red, which along with Barolo, Brunello and Barbaresco make up the aristocracy of the Italian wine world. The longer aging in cask also means longer cellaring expectancy – 10 to 20 years from vintage, but good to go now from a decanter.
