Well sometimes there are hidden gems waiting to be had and this Ricossa 2018 Barolo is one of them, selling at an incredible price, from the top 2018 vintage that offers a very approachable style and whilst the wine within shows all the classic hallmarks of the region. A must for everyone’s shopping list. And where Bob Campbell scored it 95 points, Cameron Douglas 94 and Sam Kim 95, it seals the deal really!!! A top wine selling for a bargain.

On the palate it opens up to reveal a full-bodied robustness complemented perfectly by its austere balance; truly making for an unforgettable experience. Dark plum, chocolate, cedar, red fruits and a tarry complexity dictate the palate, surrounded by the formattable tannin backbone, firm yet juicy and leaving a moreish quality that is simply irresistible. Drinking well now and over the next 10 years+. Serve with roasted meats with mushrooms and/or truffles.
