Description
The Coronas trademark was registered an incredible 100 years ago and it’s amazing to think that all this history and knowledge can be packaged into a wine, and sold in the low 20s. The blend is Tempranillo with a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon with the wine spending nearly a year in oak barrels, rounding out this medium-bodied wine. This Catalonian Tempranillo is great with barbecued meats or midwinter roasts.
Smells
Dusty, nutty aromas over top of leather, dark chocolate, cherries, and coffee.
Tastes
Loads of liquorice, blackcurrant, and cherry flavours, with fine, grainy tannins and earthy notes finishing with flecks of dark cacao chocolate. Nice and rich with plenty of concentration, it’s cracking value for the money to be enjoyed between now and 2025.
