Description

This Pinot Noir comes from Domaine Faiveley, one of the most significant Domaines in the rarefied region Burgundy. As one of the most accessible Premier Cru Burgundies on the market, it is extraordinary value for a wine of this quality. This is the perfect entry point for Premier Cru Burgundy. Combine this with the exceptional 2020 vintage, makes for a serious and sound buying decision, especially if you have never tasted a Premier Cru before. Volumes are low although the quality is outstanding, characterised by extreme weather conditions and perfectly healthy and aromatic grapes. Hide in a temperature-controlled cellar for 5-8years and the results will be outstanding.

Smells

A perfumed bouquet revealing red and black fruits, subtle woody, forest floor, wet earth, and smoky notes.

Tastes

A full-bodied Pinot with a striking core of fruit charging the whole length, from tip to the long finish. A seamless transition between fruit and the velvety tannic backbone, a classic example of the statement that red Burgundy is likened to an iron fist in a velvet glove. Show-stopping and will partner well with game meats or mushroom dishes.
