Description
Marlborough is now a serious contender among any list of NZ's best Pinot Noirs, and top of that list is Greywacke. Kevin Judd and team have the luxury of keeping the wine back a small parcel of wine until its ready absolutely hitting its straps, and this 2016 is singing at full voice.
Smells
A wonderfully complex bouquet of dried herbs and whole bunch complexity the florals with plums, cherries and star anise and smoky, charry oak.
Tastes
Super silky and smoky with amazing concentration and finely grained tannic structure, the finish goes on and on and on... This is an epic glass of wine now, but will continue to ride the wave of peak drinking through to 2030.
