This prestigious Single Vineyard was officially certified organic in 2012. The more aerated smaller bunches and longer ripening nature of the 2017 vintage has yielded exemplary Pinot fruit that has been masterfully handled in the winery… it has the body, intrigue, style, harmony of $100 Pinot Noir. The reason for its inclusion in our “Hidden Label” program? It has undergone a brand makeover more befitting of its prestige nature and the winery have asked us to secretly clear 224 x 6-packs at the sensational one-off price of $49.99. Dark, spicy and alluring, a captivating perfume of plums, cherries, bramble, nutmeg and liquorice.
Tastes
Rich and velvety on the palate, the wine is very layered and nuanced, becoming more so with exposure to air. Full of spicy cherry fruits, the finish is stacked with subtle complexities that come with caressing harmony… it just goes on and on. Built for the long haul but super enjoyable now, it will be at its best with lamb, duck, or game dishes between now and 2029+.
