Description
Beautifully textured, finely tannined, sophisticated NZ Pinot Noir, resembling a quality Burgundy stylistically. Made by a Decanter Top 20 NZ Winery and leading NZ winemaker. Sold in China under this Limestone Creek label exclusively for a fine wine distributor, so its normal winery label cannot be used. We cannot advertise the winery or winemaker openly as it is damaging for this Top 20 Winery’s brand reputation. When you receive the wine… the owner’s and winemaker name are on the back label, a quick GOOGLE will enlighten you. But do keep that to yourself please. Best vineyards, fruit & winemaking and from the exceptional 2020 vintage. It has a Burgundian elegance about it and now 4-years of age its drinking beautifully and will do through 2030+.
Smells
Classic Pinot nose of red and black cherry and berry fruits with floral scents and exotic spice, the aromas beautifully in harmony.
Tastes
Juicy with sweet red/black cheery and berry fruits and layered with amazing eastern spice, milk chocolate and French oak. A serious structure emerging beneath the lovely hedonistic fruit before wending its way to a delicious contrasting savoury climax in a more Burgundian style. Still young but knitting together beautifully at 4-years if age. this will be worth cellaring 10 to 12 years if you want to appreciate its full majesty.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
