This is a stunning 2nd label, old vine Pinot Noir from Pegasus Bay. Main Divide always over-delivers for the money and wisely should sit at the top of any smart Kiwi wine buyer's shopping list. The 2018 Pinot Noir is Exhibit A, an awesome wine crafted with traditional Burgundian techniques including fermentation in small vats, hand plunging of the floating cap of fermenting skins and subsequent ageing in small oak barriques for 12-18 months, it offers special excitement. Matt Donaldson’s decades of exposure and winemaking experience in Burgundy lay behind this extraordinarily complex (for the money) concentrated and refined Pinot Noir.

Rich floral and spice aromas over the top of smouldering black and red fruits.

A fulsome, quite luxurious mid-palate laden with ripe fruits, spices, and savoury oak. It has a luscious, long finish with savoury and spice tastes emerging throughout its svelte body. Drinking beautifully at 3-years, no rush... enjoy with savoury roast and game dishes through 2026.
