RARE & EXCITING AGED CENTRAL OTAGO PINOT NOIR

Select customer exclusive at $44.99

Special 2013 Vintage... Magnificent Vineyard, ultra-talented & passionate winemaking couple – Cellar Aged 8-years this is a truly amazing score at just $44.99

Crafting a magnificent Central Otago Pinot Noir with no expense spared from the very special 2013 vintage and hiding it away in your cellars for 8-years in order for Pinot lovers to experience it as it enters its optimum drinking window... then releasing it at its original sell price all those years ago of $44.99... is the definition of Financial insanity.

But 2nd generation family winemakers Sarah-Kate & Dan Dineen are the epitome of passion for their craft and customers. 2013 was a stunning vintage and their magnificent “Kid’s Block” vineyard yielded very special fruit which was crafted into a no expense spared Prestige Single Vineyard Pinot Noir by Sarah-Kate & Dan. It’s concentration, fruit & winemaking complexities and Burgundy like structure always suggested it would be many years before it was revealing its true magnificence. 8-years in Maude’s cellars has been a masterstroke... as its totally seductive drinking now... and through 2025.

The wine...

2013 Kid’s Block’s abundant power and structure is not only derived from the nature of such an excellent ripening season... but also the very ancient soils and precipitous terroir of the dramatic vineyard which delivers very low yields of highly concentrated and complex fruit. Vibrant red fruits, cranberries, red and black cherries with hints of crushed thyme, and an exotic array of Asian spice. One sip and you would never think this is an 8-year-old Pinot Noir, its fresh, vibrant and still has years of life, truly. Those same red fruit aromas are manifested in the flavoursome palate threaded with an exciting herbal vein, supported by chalky, fine grain tannins that tickle and delight the senses. The balance of fruit, tannin and acid is nothing short of perfect. Drinking well now till 2025, serve with gamey meats or savoury pasta dishes.

Of course, we jumped at the opportunity to grab the lot for Fine Wine Delivery customers... in the scheme of things 45 dozen is a mere drop for our huge list of thirsty Pinot Noir customers. We’ve had to restrict the offer to a select group of you on a first come basis while stocks last. How often do you get to buy a wine that has been cellared for you, by one of NZ’s top Pinot producers? And who would expect to buy an 8-year-old Double 5 Star professionally cellared Pinot for the original release price of $44.99 back in 2015? Rarely do either happen so don’t delay is my ultimate advice….. Enjoy, Jeff

Description

If there is one Pinot that stops me in my tracks every time, its Maude wines. They managed to capture the essence of Central Otago with the complexity and structure of the Old World. Impressive wines every time. And can you imagine our surprise and delight when they offered Fine Wine Delivery Co, a limited supply of their library stock Kids Block from 2013. 2013 Kid’s Block’s abundant power and structure is not only derived from the nature of such an excellent ripening season... but also the very ancient soils and precipitous terroir of the dramatic vineyard which delivers very low yields of highly concentrated and complex fruit. Sarah-Kate and Dan Dineen are passionate about wine lovers drinking their wines in optimum condition, so they sent this glorious Pinot to their cellars and have only now after 8-years decided it is ready for you to enjoy... a stunning commitment. Of course we jumped at the opportunity to grab the lot for Fine Wine Delivery customers. How often do you get to buy a wine that has been cellared for you, by one of NZ’s top Pinot producers? Rarely does it happen... so don’t delay is all I can say…..
