Description
Rapaura Springs have become hugely popular with FWD Co customers, they offer incredible value at both Estate and Reserve levels. Spreading their wings, they’ve now expanded to a Sub-regional and Single Vineyard limited-release Pinot Noir. Rohe – Awatere Valley is grown in the complex soils of Awatere with a mix of silty loams, sand, gravel and clay the vines are low vigour and well suited to Pinot Noir. This is an elegant Pinot Noir with floral aromatics blended with red cherry and blueberry. A balance of pure fruit flavours with spicey and savoury fruit.
Smells
lifted spicy aromas hints of red lollies, a perfumed floral note with ripe raspberries marrying crushed thyme and basil.
Tastes
plush, sweet, rounded fruit seduces the senses and speaks of the gravelly soils of the Awatere Valley. Silky smooth tannins give the tiniest of grip, making for a classic Marlborough Pinot style, and great drinking now through 2025. Serve with mushroom pasta dishes or gamey meats.
